Across the University and U of U Health, workers, patients, and students are suffering from unfair staffing conditions, increased workloads, and the degrading practice of being charged to attend class and go to work. To truly protect our community, we are calling on the U to not only fix these labor abuses but also to declare itself a Sanctuary Campus and Hospital—ensuring every patient, student, and worker can access care and education without fear. The U can and must do better.

The U for WHO? is a 2026 campaign by and for workers at the University of Utah. You can join the U for Who? campaign to put workers, students, and patients first.
The University of Utah and U of U Health must prioritize the knowledge and needs of its workers, not only for their well-being, but also for the well-being of students, patients, and the community at large.
